The 851219 is a pin-tumbler padlock made by Kryptonite. It is an extremely inexpensive, surprisingly high security padlock. It features a double ball bearing 1" Molybdenum alloy steel shackle .440" thick. It is rekeyable and is notable as being one of few 6 pin padlocks.
Principles of operation
The Kryptonite 851219 cylinder is a pin-tumbler lock with six pin stacks and five spooled security pins. Additionally, five of the key pins are serrated. The 851219 contains one anti-drill hardened pin. The 851219 can only be opened by rotating the plug clockwise.
Disassembly instructions
The 851219 can be disassembled for rekeying purposes. To disassemble first unlock the lock, then unscrew the Philips retaining screw that holds the cylinder in.
