Rytan, Inc. is an American locksmithing tool manufacturer that produces key machines, lockpicks, and other tools. The owner and CEO is Carol J. Silbaugh.
History
Samuel Sopko formed the Rytan corporation on the 25th of July, 1983 in Torrance, California.[1] Silbaugh became the General Manager in 1985, and then the owner in 2018.[2] The manufacturing facility is now located in Gardena, CA.
The diamond-hook lockpick commonly known as the DeForrest pick is named after Bill DeForrest, founder of Major Manufacturing, Inc.
