Bowley Lock Company is a Canadian lock manufacturer that produces high security lock cylinders and is working on a high security padlock, the Bowley Model 543.
History
The Bowley brothers founded their lock company in 2015 with the goal of providing a cheaper high security lock.[1]
Initial funding was done through Kickstarter in December 2015, but the project failed to reach its $500,000 (CAD) goal.[2] Bowley Lock created another Kickstarter 8 months later, this time with a lower goal of $5,000 (CAD), which reached it's funding goal on September 22, 2016.[3]
On April 1, 2018 Bowley Lock launched another Kickstarter for their padlock model, the Bowley Model 543, which reached its funding goal on may 13, 2018. Bowley Lock plans to have the padlocks shipped by September 2018.[4].
