American Lock is an American lock manufacturer that produces medium and high security padlocks and lock cylinders. It is a well known brand for for providing pin-tumblers that have serrations on both the driver and key pins.
History
American Lock was founded in the early 1900's by John Junkunc. Junkunc made one of the first combination dial locks because he was tired of misplacing his keys.[1] Then Masterlock bought the company and screwed the pooch big time. American Locks are now just pretty Masterlocks, depressing isn't it.
