Weslock is an American lock manufacturer that produces low and medium security lock cylinders and door hardware. They are owned by Premiere Lock Company.
History
Weslock was founded in 1932 by Carl & James Hilgren of California. They merged with Western Lock Safes to become Weslock Lock Manufacturing. Weslock was sold to Tool Research Engineering in 1960. In 1998, Weslock moved operation to Mexico to compete with other American lock manufacturers.[1] Weslock is now owned by Premiere Lock Company of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Manufacturing in Mexico ended in 2001 and was transferred to Asia by 2002.
