American Lock is an American lock manufacturer that produces medium and high security padlocks and lock cylinders. It is a well known brand for for providing pin-tumblers that have serrations on both the driver and key pins.
History
American Lock was founded in the early 1900's by John Junkunc. Junkunc made one of the first combination dial locks because he was tired of misplacing his keys.[1]
American Lock was acquired by Fortune Brands and merged with Master Lock in 2003.[2]
