The Twin Combi is a pin-tumbler lock made by ASSA. The Combi uses pin-tumblers and a sidebar to provide two layers of security. The Combi has the first sidebar in the Twin series that requires finger pins be raised and rotated properly. | |
Key bumping is a covert entry technique used to quickly open pin-tumbler based locks. Key bumping uses a modified key to create a kinetic energy transfer between top and bottom pins in the lock. Essentially, top pins are "bumped" above the shear line, allowing the plug to rotate. |
